Due to the age of the mare, her inherent conformational traits, foaling injuries, or the number of foals she may have produced, her reproductive anatomy may need corrective surgery by a professional specially trained in these techniques. Such perineal reconstructive surgeries range from the simple (Caslick) to the complex (urethroplasty).

Vulvoplasty (Caslick's suture) : $60.00

Caslick's Vulvoplasty Open Prior to Foaling / Breeding : $25.00

Perineoplasty (Perot's Technique) : $350/hr. surgical time

First, Second or Third Degree Perineal Laceration Repair: $350/hr. surgical time

Recto-Vaginal Fistula Repair: $350/hr. surgical time

Urethroplasty (Urine Pooling Correction): $350/hr. surgical time

NOTE: Separate fee estimate(s) provided by event after Dr. Ley examines the mare. New Client Fee, board at $40/day, sedation, local or epidural anesthesia and/or other fees may also apply.
